Placement of your laughing fat Buddha

placement of your laughing fat buddha, fat buddha meanings

I have been asked so many times on where to place your Buddha I have decided to write this in the hopes it helps you all. So here are a few places where you can place your Buddha either around your home, garden or office.

Facing the main door
Many feng shui consultants recommend placing the Buddha opposite the main front door of a home on a table that is about thirty inches high. This location allows Buddha to interact with the chi energy entering your home. From this position, the statue can neutralize any negative chi, and transform it from damaging to very lucky energy.

Living room
Buddha is also quite comfortable in the living room. The best position for Buddha in the living room is facing the front door.

On a desk
Students should place Buddha on their desks. This is a perfect location to enlist a little help with lessons and evoke Buddha auspicious energy for fulfilling your academic goals. For students who are seeking to enhance educational luck, a Feng Shui Laughing Buddha positioned on the study desk will allow you to attain your academic aspirations.

Office table or reception's desk
For those that own a business, placing Buddha on a reception's desk can help bring prosperity to your company.

Meditation garden
This is an ideal area for a Buddha statue. One of the most popular poses is the Meditation Buddha.

Buddha altar
If you're Buddhist, then you already have an altar, just make sure you place this altar in your home where meditation and reflection can be practiced.

Yoga room
If you practice yoga, then you have a special room or area of a room in your home devote to your exercise. This is an excellent place for a Buddha statue. Just be sure to place it eye level or higher.

A few tips
Put your Buddha in a corner table and surround it by a variety of frames and art work which are in the same theme as you laughing Buddha. You can also put additional Buddha prints on your wall that is behind the Buddha statue in order to make the most of your collection.

Get a shelf for the exclusive purpose of displaying your Buddha. If you have an assortment of buddhas in a variety of sizes, you can put these in a group along with ganesha statues and other accessories. A shelf is a great way to show off your collection since statues do look very nice when grouped together in like kinds. You can have a shelf built by itself or as a stand alone. The benefits of having a stand alone shelf is that you can move it from one room to another depending on where you want it to be. A built in house shelf will, however be a lot more stable since it is immovable.

Glass display cases are ideal as well since having one will mean that you will not have to dust as often. This is because glass display cases have doors and protect your statues and figurines from dust. Ganesha statues, figurines that are Japanese, Hindu and Buddha statues are all ideal for putting inside a glass case or a glass cabinet.

For optimum good luck you can choose one of your laughing Buddhas, preferably one of the bigger ones and put it against the wall opposite your front door in order for the Buddha to be facing the door for added good luck.

If your family suffers from arguments and tensions, then an image or figurine of the Laughing Buddha will solve these problems. Simply place him in the East Sector (Family Luck) (Feng Shui Bagua Formula) or a location where he can be seen when everyone is sitting around in your living room or main hall.

For those who wish to enhance their luck in the aspects of wealth, self-development, well being and victory, displaying the Laughing Buddha in your personal Sheng Chi direction (Feng Shui Kua Formula) will serve to help you achieve your goals.

When the Laughing Buddha is displayed in the Southeast Sector (Feng Shui Bagua Formula) of the main hall, dining room or bedroom of your home, he will bring family members immense windfall luck and increase income.

For those in competitive careers or high positions, such as CEOs or politicians, a Feng Shui Laughing Buddha placed in the workplace or household will serve to summon luck and eliminate enemies‘ effects. It will also allow for a clear mind and reduction of tension.

The Laughing Buddha makes a very good symbol to display on the front dashboard of your vehicle; doing so will allow him the pleasure of always taking away your worries and bringing good news home with you from your ventures, as well as to keep you safe.

To prevent betrayals and arguments with colleagues, display a figurine of the Laughing Buddha on your desk at work. This will also allow you to excel in your career.

It is for many reasons that the Laughing Buddha makes the perfect present for almost any auspicious occasions; for people you know who are suffering through misfortunes and bad luck, the Laughing Buddha would make an perfect good luck gift.

This Laughing Buddha is an excellent Feng Shui cure for the #3 Flying Star argumentative star. The gold colour represents the metal element, which destroys the quarrelsome energies of the #3 wood star that brings disharmony and discord. Place this Feng Shui cure in the afflicted sector.

The Laughing Buddha with Money Frog figurine will bring you sudden bursts of windfall luck when displayed in your “Sheng Chi” corner (Feng Shui Kua), as well as the areas of your home where the #8 and #9 lucky Flying Stars are situated.

For individuals who have careers in which commission is a bonus, place a money frog beside your desk or in a diagonal direction to the main entrance of your house; this will subconsciously encourage customers to tip to your benefit.

Always Remember
The Laughing Buddha is highly revered in both Buddhism and Feng Shui, and so he should be treated with respect; never place him in the kitchen, in the bathroom or on the floor.
The reason you should never place your Buddha in the kitchen is because he never wants to see you eating dead animals, the same applies for the dinning room too.

Regarding the bathroom and why your Buddha should not be placed there is because it is considered rude to use the toilet in front of him and also because your wealth will be flushed away.

I live with in-laws also, but I have a work desk by a sliding glass door in a downstairs office. Should my Buddha face the sliding glass doors that faces the back yard or should I face him the opposite direction - which would face the direction of the main house door that is on an upper level of the house that the Buddha cannot see?
